The Human Resources Generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, recruiting, company communications, time and attendance, and payroll functions. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.
- Assists with onboarding and new hire orientation.
- Thorough knowledge of ADP including payroll and performance management.
- Thorough knowledge of Excel.
- Maintains employee database and personnel files.
- Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits I-9 Forms.
- Helps HR Director with updating policies and procedures
- Assists in the administration of health and welfare plans.
- Provides HR support to HR at the plants.
- Maintain and update training records.
- Runs reports and performs workforce analytics
- Helps HR Director with the community and employee activities.
- Provide administrative support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Associates Degree in related field & 3 plus years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience in the administration of payroll and other human resource programs.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Human resource experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Three to five years of HR generalist experience
- PHR/SPHR certification
