What we need:
We are currently seeking an Account Executive to add to our growing Sales team. This position is incredibly important as we are growing fast and working with some of the biggest names in technology by providing mission-critical infrastructure. The person in this role will work to close new opportunities, prospect into target accounts, and build deep relationships with MacStadium’s most important customers as they grow those accounts. As we’re still a small team, we’re looking for an individual excited about defining new processes and making a big impact.This position reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and preferred location for this role is in Atlanta, GA.MacStadium's current U.S.
office locations are in Atlanta, GA and Las Vegas, NV. While it is ideal to have this position located in close proximity to one of our offices, we are open to filling the role remotely outside of the states of Georgia and Nevada (within the United States) for the right candidate. For remote applicants outside of Eastern time zone, working hours will coincide with Eastern time zone hours.
What you will be doing:
Closing inbound leads
- Work with customers to identify the right solution
- Help customers adopt the solution in a structured POC
- Work with security, legal, procurement, etc. to get a deal done
Account planning
- Build and maintain deep relationships with key customers
- Prepare and present quarterly business reviews with top accounts
- Work with engineering, sales, and finance to coordinate care
- Anticipate and track expansion and contraction
Driving upsell and expansion
- Actively promote MacStadium services to existing and new contacts within key accounts to grow deployments
- Manage any expansion or upsell agreements through to close including proposing, trialing, negotiation, and launch
- Work to minimize/prevent downgrades or contraction
Contract renewals
- Monitor and renew any contracts to ensure timely and seamless renewals while minimizing/avoiding churn
Targeted prospecting
- Start conversations with a handful of super-high-priority accounts by any means necessary (networking, cold outreach, etc.)
- Create opportunities by getting the right people at those accounts excited about working with MacStadium
- Close opportunities and continue to make customers successful
What skills and experience you need to have:
- 5-10 years of quota-carrying sales experience (sales, account management, and customer success backgrounds are all of interest)
- Solid sales background in a consultative, technical sales role
- Proven track record of building pipeline and hitting quotas
- Prior startup experience (i.e., working in fast-paced, high growth environments)
- Experience selling technical products to engineers/developers
- Willingness to travel to meet key clients as needed
- Strong technical problem solving skills
- Project management skills and the ability to meet or exceed deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Self-motivated, driven and results oriented
