We’re seeking a creative and passionate Production Assistant Job Title who’s excited to jump in an RV in support of our mission and impact.

And we wrote a best-selling career guide based on the advice we’ve heard over the last two decades.We create our primary impact through partnerships with leading social impact organizations and other mission-driven organizations who support this storytelling work on public television and connect our learner-driven career exploration programs and tools to people striving to find their paths in life.In this role, you’ll be part of the Production team that helps produce and shape our documentary series on and off the road.This is an entry level role, and you’ll have room to learn, so the most important thing you can possess is a background in production and the desire to jump right in.
What does this position entail?
- Assisting Producers and Directors through research, organization, and logistics planning
- Corresponding with applicants and roadtrippers, supporting Roadtripper onboarding, researching and planning locations and other production needs.
- Driving and operating an RV, with a strong attention to detail and safety protocols
- Learning and mastering RTN safety protocols and maintaining them with all crew members on and off the RV.
- Supporting projects with basic video production tasks like camera operation, audio recording, and lighting.
- Helping backup and organize video content
- Traveling in a big green RV!!
What we’re looking for?
- Someone with experience in production (documentary preferred)
- Valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check that permits driving per Roadtrip Nation auto insurance policy.
$20 - $20 an hourThe pay range listed is based on national compensation benchmark data and may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, variations in cost of labor, and in some cases, geographic location. The exact job offer will be determined based on several factors such as the candidate’s individual skills, qualifications and experience relative to the requirements of the role. The range displayed with the job posting represents the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across the U.S. The company also reviews and considers internal equity (current employee salary) when hiring new employees to the organization.
The range is the expected starting base salary for someone hired into this position with room to grow professionally, including increased earning potential beyond the starting pay range.
