Job Overview:
As Loan Consultant, you will be the primary point of contact for CapCenter clients who are on the path to purchasing a home or refinancing a mortgage. You will collaborate with the client from their initial application to their commitment to move forward. Loan Consultants review our clients’ goals and offer them the best loan options to meet their needs. This role is an inside sales position and Loan Consultants are measured on their ability to land clients for CapCenter. The Loan Consultant is also the initial underwriter of the loan file, gathering and reviewing underwriting documentation to ensure compliance with Fannie/Freddie, FHA, or VA standards. You will work in a dynamic team environment of other mortgage, real estate, and insurance professionals.
Loan Consultants cross-sell our real estate and insurance products. Many of our team members are dual licensed and have cross-trained in multiple departments. A strong attention to detail and an ability to organize your day to be effective and efficient in a fast-paced position is paramount to success in the Loan Consultant role.

You are responsive and available to meet with prospective clients to identify their needs and propose loan options that will achieve their goals. You will analyze loan applications to ensure compliance with all applicable lending requirements and standards and ensure accuracy and timeliness of loan disclosures and estimates to ensure all loan costs and/or fees are properly disclosed.

Be a “play-maker.” You will collaborate across departments on behalf of your client to meet or exceed all relevant KPIs or benchmarks related to conversion or pull-through rates, client survey scores, errors, and closed loans.

CapCenter seeks to save our clients’ money, time, risk, and effort. You will convert client applications into closed loans saving our clients thousands. You will condition for and collect borrower documents in accordance with Fannie, Freddie, FHA, or VA underwriting regulations and review documents to confirm salability on the secondary market.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- NMLS license required
- Strong professionalism, ethics, and character
- Persuasive communication skills and analytical abilities
