THE ROLE
PlayOn! Sports is looking for a Tier 1 Agent to join our Broadcast Operations team within the Customer Experience (CX) division. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with an aptitude for technical problem solving, quick thinking, and decision making. As a Tier 1 Agent, you will serve as the first line of defense for overseeing quality broadcasts for the most important events on the network.Additional responsibilities and accountabilities for this role could include:• Monitor high-priority live broadcasts, maintaining the highest standards of quality.• Collaborate with various departments, both internally and externally, to ensure successful broadcasts from start to finish.• Troubleshoot live broadcasts using phone support and helpdesk ticketing software.• Document issues and/or solutions for all assigned events for data tracking purposes.• Escalate high-profile events and issues to Tier 2 Agents in a timely manner.• Participate in various projects and proactive outreach, as seen fit by leadership.
THE PERSON
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Media, Engineering, or a related field.• Experience: Demonstrated experience in broadcast operations, with a substantial understanding of both consumer-level and professional streaming techniques.• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with streaming protocols such as RTMP, RTSP, and HLS, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of the technical landscape of live streaming.• Communication Excellence: Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with high-revenue partners and internal teams, ensuring clarity and fostering strong relationships.• Innovative Thinking: A forward-thinking mindset with the capability to think on the fly and outside of the box to assist customers and partners as needed.COMPANY OVERVIEWThe future of high school athletics and activities is powered by PlayOn!
