CM Engineering is a growing Consulting Engineering firm located in Charlotte, NC. We are currently seeking a talented Electrical Designer. As an organization we are fully committed to sustainable design.We are seeking a designer with consulting engineering experience that will be responsible for schematic design through construction administration for offices, retail, condominiums, industrial and multifamily residential projects.
Summary:
Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives and involves conventional types of plans and specifications. Work is reviewed by Project Managers for the application of sound professional judgment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in power, lighting, fire alarm, data and telecommunication building systems design.
- Electrical Power Distribution Circuiting Design
- Lighting and Lighting Controls Design
- Emergency Systems Design
- Fire Alarm System Design
- Power Distributions Systems Design
- Knowledge of Revit is a must and strong Auto Cad skills including ACAD is required.
- Excellent report writing ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft software, particularly Excel including Word, Outlook.
- Multi- family and commercial power and lighting design knowledge a plus
Work tasks will also include conducting energy audits, developing energy efficiency improvements, identifying renewable energy and conservation projects, Utility Incentive Submissions for ECM’s, etc.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering preferred
Experience:
- Electrical Design: 2 years (Preferred)
