Responsibilities
- Participation in both corporate and customer facing projects
- Development of new AWS infrastructure applying best practices and security considerations to bring innovation to our customers and our development pipeline
- Responsibility for supporting corporate and hosted infrastructure, assisting both customer and internal staff e.g. developers and business analysts
- Develop and enhance procedures, policies, and controls
- Follow rigorous change management practices when applying change to both customer and corporate environments.
Required Skills
- Strong track record as a DevOps Support Engineer gained in heavily AWS focused environments.
- Detailed understanding of AWS services, particularly S3, VPC, EC2, EBS, EFS, RDS (MariaDB, Oracle), DynamoDB, RedShift, SQS, ECS & CloudWatch.
- Experience using Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Git & SubVersion.
- Strong working knowledge of Red Hat/Rocky Linux, including bash shell scripting.
- Good understanding and experience in building DevOps solutions using CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitLab.
- Inquisitive mindset in relation to Cloud Infrastructure.
- Proven ability to work in constantly evolving technical environments.
Preferred Skills
- Kubernetes, Docker, Python and/or Node.js (AWS Lambda), IBM MQ.
- Exposure to capital markets/financial services.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Cloud DevOps engineer.
