As an employee at NSI Industries, you reap the benefits of being part of an expanding company that still maintains a progressive employee culture and atmosphere.The Jr. Technician’s primary function is tomaintain, repair, and rebuild Duro Dyne machinery so that our customers have good working machinery to run their production and in turn continue to buy Duro Dyne products. We also assist HVAC contractors in troubleshooting, wiring, and repairing Duro Dyne zoning products.
Job Duties:
Take phone calls to assist shops in troubleshooting and repair Duro Dyne machinery.Take phone calls to assist HVAC techs in troubleshooting, wiring, and repairing Duro Zone products.Repair and rebuild Duro Dyne machinery that is sent in from customers or DD salesmen.Perform local service calls in customer facilities to diagnose and repair Duro Dyne machinery.Assemble parts, sub-assemblies, and machinery for our Rebuild Program.STAR trips with Duro Dyne Salesmen (must be available to travel throughout the U.S).Maintain sufficient inventory of our Tech Service parts room. This includes but is not limited to performing monthly inspections, parts requisitions, parts assembly and restocking of machinery replacement parts.Pull and pack machinery replacement parts for customer orders and transport them to shipping.Other duties as assigned.Additional Requirements
- Working knowledge of Office 365.
- Must be able to use basic hand tool, multi meters and vernier calipers.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a basic understanding of electronics.
- Basic understanding of reading and understanding schematics, and machinery prints.
- A desire and comfortability working with your hands and using hand tools and power tools is important.
- Strong customer service skills are imperative, being able to communicate intelligently and confidently is very important.
- Patience, compassion, and understanding to customer needs and problems, and being able to think quickly and effectively to help resolve the problem is key.
- A valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel throughout the U.S is necessary.
Education
- Technical/Vocational Training
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience working on electrical/mechanical.
Physical Requirements – Essential
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking
