Summary of Position:
A Training Specialist II owns work plans and priorities to support the development, coordination, and delivery of training programs based on organizational needs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages all aspects of a training program, including vendor training, to ensure compliance and effectiveness of training outcome
- Conducts training needs assessments, designs and delivers curriculum and learning materials
- Designs and develops methods, including surveys, for assessing and evaluating training effectiveness and sets up evaluation measures
- Provides support for logistics of training deliverables
- Works with subject matter experts and department leadership to identify, manage, and report training deliverables
- Updates content and evaluates performance of internal, third party and vendor training providers
- Collaborates and liaises with department leadership on talent-related strategies and initiatives
- Evaluates and selects appropriate training techniques and media
- Contributes to new training program design and existing program enhancements
- Works with subject matter expert to help validate training content is current
- Evaluates and recommends updates to operations policies and procedures and clarifies and conveys new information to employees and vendors as needed
- Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs
- Delivers and facilitates training programs, especially when they are first implemented
- Configures learning paths and sets up modules in the Learning Management System
- Coordinates and schedules training events and presenters
- Creates and leads "Train The Trainer" sessions
- Produces and distributes training reports, as required
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a Learning and Development role
- Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting for adult learners
- Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
- Proven ability to master the full training cycle
- Adequate knowledge of learning management software
- Ability to exercise logic and reasoning to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Strong facilitation, interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization required
- Bachelor’s Degree with studies or continuing education in communications, instructional design, learning systems, or related field preferred
- Certificate in Training & Development preferred
- Project management experience is a plus
- Experience using Microsoft Office in a professional work setting
- Ability to work full time during regular working hours
The total compensation for this opportunity includes a base salary range of $40,000 - $48,000 plus benefits. This is our target compensation range and is subject to multiple factors including role, level, experience and location. As you go through our interview process, your recruiter will work with you to identify a competitive base salary within the proposed range and combine it with an annual bonus plan to get you excited about your future at EverService.
