In this role, you will collaborate with the global People Ops Director to develop and implement HR strategies to align with the overall company objectives.

Additionally, you will work closely with senior management to foster a positive and productive workplace culture.  

Responsibilities & Tasks


  • Strategic HR Leadership: Collaborate with senior management to provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development. 
  • Talent Management & Acquisition: Work closely with leaders to identify talent needs and develop strategies for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. Lead the recruitment process from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires to ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience. 
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR-related issues. Resolve conflicts, address concerns, and promote a culture of open communication and collaboration. 
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management processes to drive employee engagement and productivity. Provide coaching and support to managers on performance feedback, goal setting, and career development. 
  • Training and Development:Identify training needs and coordinate professional development initiatives. Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities. 
  • HR Policy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that promote fairness, consistency, and legal compliance. 
  • Employee Benefits and Compensation: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages. 
  • HR Administration: Oversee HR administration tasks, including employee records management, and HRIS maintenance. Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of HR data. 
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention. Organize team-building activities, social events, and recognition programs. Drive employee feedback mechanisms, including surveys and focus groups, to gather HR insights and inform HR strategies. 
  • HR Analytics:Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, measure HR effectiveness, and inform decision-making. Provide insights and recommendations to business leaders on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational design. 

Required Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Director or similar role, preferably in the tech industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, including talent management, employee relations, performance management, organizational development and compliance. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport at all levels of the organization. 
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced, high-growth environments. 
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives. 
  • Solid understanding of US employment laws and regulations

Desired Qualifications


  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus. 
  • Experience with laws and regulations in California. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in owning the management of HR systems (familiarity with Rippling strongly preferred).
