Responsibilities


  • Lead the technical delivery of a group of user interface developers and be the team's escalation point.
  • Lead the design and development of scalable and maintainable web applications using Angular frameworks.
  • Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and back-end developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance and code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Conduct technical feasibility assessments and provide recommendations for feature implementation and system enhancements.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues reported by users or identified during testing phases.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development and advocate for their adoption within the team.
  • Implement and enforce coding standards, code quality metrics, and development processes to ensure project consistency and efficiency.
  • Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and retrospective meetings, contributing valuable insights and suggestions for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical architectures, project timelines, and resource allocations.

Requirements


  • 7+ years of overall software development experience in enterprise systems.
  • 5+ years of development as a front-end developer using Angular or ReactJS, Typescript, Reactive Programming, Responsive Design, JavaScript, CSS3, SASS, and HTML5. (Ideally familiar with 16 new features of Angular).
  • Strong expertise with HTML, CSS, and writing cross-browser-compatible code.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile Software Development practices and how to leverage these to streamline project execution.
  • Experience with Actimize API.
  • Experience deploying applications on AWS.
  • Experience developing high-performing, low-latency Angular applications.
  • Ability to decompose business problems into smaller parts and resolve them while considering the impact on other subsystems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, tuning, and optimizing rendering time, memory & network utilization.
  • Strong communication and team/technical leadership skills.

Preferred Requirements


  • Consulting experience.
  • AWS certification.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC, especially regarding improving agile delivery metrics.
  • Experience working in a platform managed by a DevOps team (OpenShift, a plus).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
  • Financial services experience.
