FINANCE MANAGER, CHINA
REPORT TO:
Regional Controller, Asia Pacific
WORKING LOCATION: Shanghai
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reporting to Head of Finance APAC, the incumbent will manage and co-ordinate full spectrum of financial, accounting, tax, as well as company regulatory reporting requirements for China operation
- Manage finance month-end closing, reconciliations etc. of the Group companies
- Be responsible for financial reporting, management reporting, financial analysis for the team and auditors
- Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities and professional parties on accounting, consolidation reporting and taxation issues
- Efficiently lead and guide the finance team
- Key player in the conversion from current AR system to Syteline AR, including documenting, testing and validating data.
- Responsible for managing the activities of the customer invoicing, issuing credit / debit memos, establishing reserves, etc.; including ERP responsibilities for the AR subledger.
- Manage and streamline billing and collection process and cash application functions for the company.
- Audit delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad-debt status to account.
- Monitor aging balances and recommend write offs.
- Works with internal departments and clients to regulate and resolve hold/release sales orders in accordance with internal rules and regulations.
- Actively monitor and work with internal departments to resolve all outstanding Accounts Receivable claims and chargebacks
- Strong knowledge of Deferred Revenue and unbilled Accounts Receivable
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree and above in accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting / finance experience preferably in sizable companies
- Factory accounting experience and knowledge about VAT for export activities
- Proficient in ERP system, Microsoft Office skills, especially Advanced Excel skill
- Honesty & sincerity
- High sense of principle and responsibility
- Good professional ethics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good command of spoken and written English & Chinese
