We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team in Charlotte, NC. This role is an integral part of the Financial and Design teams, providing financial advice, support, and problem solving.Responsibilities:
- Prepare various journal entries for month + year end close.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliation as needed.
- Assist with month + year-end functions as needed.
- Assist with bank deposits + daily cash reconciliation.
- Assist with monthly bank reconciliation.
- Provide backup to accounts payable as needed, including the verification of transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
- Certificate of Insurance tracking for both Clients + Vendors.
- Support Accounting team members on all accounting issues as necessary.
- Complete ad hoc analysis reporting and requests.
- Complete other duties, tasks and activities as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration.
- 2+ years of related experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint Experience highly desired.
- Understanding of job/project costing and accounting.
