Position Summary:

The Information Security Manager’s responsibilities include design, implementation, and monitoring of the enterprise security infrastructure.    The person in this position works closely with the IT team and company management in the following areas and technologies:  Network Security, Enterprise Firewalls, Encryption Strategies, Cloud (AWS and MS) Security, End Point Detection and Response, Vulnerability Scanning, Security Information and Event Management, Network Access Management, Certificate Management, DNS, Windows, and application infrastructure for the enterprise network.

Essential Functions: 


  • Main responsibilities involve working with:  Network Security, Enterprise Firewall Management, Enterprise Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Vulnerability Scanning, SIEM, TLS Certificate Management, PKI, DNS, Windows, and application infrastructure for the enterprise network, as well as critical vendors who provide datacenter and monitoring services.
  • Liaison with IT-ISAC, InfraGard, and other industry groups.
  • Displays strong technical aptitude with IT Security, VPN, Endpoint Detection and Response, IIS, networking concepts and technologies, and other third-party and internally developed tools and technologies.
  • Manage projects and create detailed technical documentation.
  • Hire, train, mentor and manage associates on the security team.  
  • Participate in external audits, third-party vulnerability scans, and regulatory examinations.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and administration of the enterprise-wide risk management processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable technologies and equipment.
  • Assist with escalated support calls when necessary.
  • Maintains, complies with, and develops Infovisa’s policies, procedures, and strategies to provide efficient and effective service to associates and customers.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure service levels and contract requirements are maintained. 
  • Responsible for participating in an after-hours on call rotation.
  • Understand and adhere to all company policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Develop curriculum and ensure completion of information security training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in company policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. 
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned. 

Qualifications:


  • 10 years of information security experience required.
  • Prefer Check Point certification.
  • Prefer one or more applicable network security certifications.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Three years of management experience.
  • Four-year degree in information technology / systems, or computer and information science.

Working Environment:


Mostly indoor work with occasional exposure to outdoor elements or hazards.Medium workload – lifting and/or carrying up to 20 pounds frequently and exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally.  Some travel required.This is an in-office position in Cornelius, NC.  Successful candidates will live withing commuting distance of Cornelius or be willing to relocate.
