About Taro Health
Taro Health is a team of healthcare nerds, software engineers, product designers, direct primary care doctors, health insurance experts, and more. We are building a healthcare system that makes sense, starting by redefining the role of health insurance – one that focuses on reducing friction for doctors and patients, and investing in ways to create more meaningful doctor-patient relationships. We believe unrushed conversations with doctors lead to better health and lower costs for patients. Our health plans enable all members to have free and frictionless access to a dedicated doctor they know and trust.
We’re excited to create health insurance plans you can actually use. We’re backed by top investors and are looking for values-aligned individuals to join our NYC-based founding team.
Our aspirations for this role
Working as a new member sales and enrollment specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enabling Taro Health’s member growth across the country. In many ways, you will be the face of Taro – helping people navigate both general and specific health insurance questions, and ultimately get covered with a Taro insurance plan. You will serve as a bridge to support new members between enrollment and membership, ensuring their enrollment process is smooth, and helping them begin their journey as a Taro member. You will be deeply involved and working closely with the founders directly to ensure a successful Open Enrollment (when patients sign up for health insurance). What would former colleagues say about you? You naturally want to help people, and take ownership that all of their questions and needs are fully answered and met.
You follow up on tasks as much as you need to get stuff done. You’re extremely curious and a natural sponge. You are in the part of your career where you are optimizing for learning, growth, exposure, and hands-on operational experience. You care deeply about the quality of your work. You are energized the most when you’re building, among colleagues who challenge you and give you feedback along the way. You love to educate and inspire. You are gritty and optimistic. You want to be part of a mission.Taro Health is in its early stages. Each new team member has the opportunity to significantly shape our culture, product, strategy, and operations. Candidates should be eager to work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment where their contributions have a direct and outsized impact. While this is a seasonal contract role to start, there will be an opportunity to transition into a full-time team member, depending on performance and need. There is a strong preference for candidates who live in the state of Maine, the state of Oklahoma, or in the NYC metro area.
