Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Developer to join our clients' risk/fraud/admin app team, playing a crucial role in elevating the technical capabilities of the team. This position entails a combination of development and support responsibilities, focusing on enhancing the team's (pod's) technical proficiency, supporting pull requests, and tackling complex feature development. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset and a willingness to engage in tech support activities.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Collaborate closely with the hybrid pod team to elevate technical capabilities and uphold code quality.
• 
  Assist in the review and management of pull requests, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• 
  Work with team members on challenging feature development and technical problem-solving.
• 
  Handle tier 2 support activities within the pod, addressing bugs, data issues, and escalated customer-specific problems from Customer Care.
• 
  Investigate and resolve technical issues reported internally or identified during development.

Requirements:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 
  Proven experience in software development, specializing in backend or full-stack development.
• 
  Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and related technologies.
• 
  Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• 
  Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
• 
  Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• 
  Prior experience in a support or troubleshooting role is advantageous.
