Tensec is looking for an experienced Product Designer to build our neobank experience that empowers our customers with global transaction banking solutions. As the first Product Designer in the company, you are a cornerstone of our product-led growth culture. Having a direct hand in shaping the short and long-term strategy of our startup, building our product design and user experience from the ground up.
In this role you will have the opportunity to understand the needs of our customers, design, build and test strategic solutions that would help more people get started and run their businesses successfully on Tensec. You will work closely with a cross functional team across design, product, engineering, marketing, research and data science to drive outcomes. Positions in our hubs are hybrid and include core working days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the office. We provide flexible work options based on distance from our hubs. Tensec believes in the power of face-to-face, personal connection. As a result, we prioritize in-person candidates.
As a product designer, you would expect to:
Lead user experience and design for our core products, from prioritization through launch
Advocate for our users by continuously iterating on and evolving our products and experiences. Leverage a direct line to our customers to get insights, explore solutions, create prototypes, and dive into user feedback/data to identify points of friction and opportunities for improvement
Sweat the details, strive for simplicity, and tie together interconnected projects to efficiently ship products that deliver impact for our business and customers
Participate in all aspects of startup life, from strategy discussions to project planning to hands-on implementation
Partner with a cross-functional team of PMs, engineers, operations and business to translate our vision into a tangible product
Work with people across time zones and regions effectively
Contribute toward growing and scaling the design team
To thrive in this role, you have:
5+ years of experience as a product designer building 0 to 1 products in early-stage startups
Strong empathy for our customers with a user-centric mindset and a fervent passion for elevating user experience
A high bar for quality and craft in visual and interaction design
An owner’s mentality, demonstrating autonomy and resilience on a fast-paced team
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product management and business teams
Working experience with tools including but not limited to Figma, Jira, Looker, Slack, Google Apps, Salesforce, Chrome Console
A strong understanding of software engineering frameworks (like React), engineering workflows and principles
