Nirvana is seeking a data-centric Product Manager to partner with our API customers to create valuable solutions to complex workflow problems. You will play a key role in demonstrating Nirvana’s API value, and must possess a combination of data fluency, product expertise, and business development.

Our mission is to not only facilitate this trend by building software that makes this world possible, but lead the charge on this trend by showing our customers why transparency is valuable.
Background
Nirvana’s Coverage API takes insurance information and outputs a) whether they are covered for care and b) how much that procedure is. By focusing on Coverage, Nirvana’s utilization has grown over 400% in the past 12 months alone in mental health, with early growth in other specialties.We believe this trend to be bolstered by changing consumer expectations in healthcare. Namely i) consumers expect greater price transparency before booking and ii) consumers are more price sensitive and want to use their insurance to subsidize care.
Our Moat
Nirvana’s moat is built on its data asset, which powers our AI and machine-learning models that are used to predict highly accurate costs for our customers and users. We process over 3 Million Transactions YTD, each with a unique fingerprint for what a benefit structure looks like.
The Role
This Product role is the tip of the spear for how we build with our customers to advance our mission for transparency. We do this by diving deep into our data to build use cases, present insights, and features that make Coverage more valuable. This may include:
utilizing our current API to rapidly prototype new insights and use cases
diving deep into our data (via SQL/Pandas, etc.) to scan for patterns in benefit design and iteratively tailoring our API to that use case
presenting to internal leadership and C-suite external stakeholders with insights
This will require both a “rolling-up sleeves” mentality as well as cross-functional work with the Eng and Ops team. You will be empowered to make quick product decisions that advance our mission.

Spearhead new use cases and insights from our data
Grow our customer relationships by iterating on new insights and use cases
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify new opportunities and scale into them
Help lead a team of product and engineers to build value with our customers
Ideal Profile
3+ years of experience of analytical problem-solving and outcome ownership.
A drive to go 0-to-1 in building something from the ground up
Highly analytical and a data-first approach. You are a SQL/Excel/Pandas guru--whichever tool allows you to interpret data fastest to drive decisions.
An entrepreneur at heart; you are eager to dive headfirst into ambiguity to address major issues in healthcare. Impact is key.
