Tensec is looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to build our neobank experience that empowers our customers with global transaction banking solutions. As a part of the team, you will not only be a team member but also a cornerstone of our company. You'll have a direct hand in shaping the trajectory of our startup, building the product from the ground up, and setting the technical direction for our future. Positions in our hubs are hybrid and include core working days of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office. We provide flexible work options based on distance from our hubs. Tensec believes in the power of face-to-face, personal connection. As a result, we prioritize in-person candidates.
As a frontend engineer, you would expect to:
Set the foundation of our frontend application with the maximum speed, scalability, and the best user experience.
Develop secure, clean, reliable, thoroughly tested, and well-documented codes.
Establish and uphold best practices and strategies regarding application development from scratch, including testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Contribute to architecture and product development discussions, advocating for front-end technology considerations.
Rapidly develop prototypes while maintaining a focus on long-term scalability and maintainability.
Proactively monitor, identify, and resolve issues in our product environment to ensure our application runs securely and reliably.
Collaborate closely with everyone to translate our vision into a tangible product.
Work with people across time zones and regions effectively.
Participate in all aspects of startup life, from strategy discussions to project planning to hands-on implementation.
To thrive in this role, you have:
5+ years of experience in Frontend development, with hands-on expertise.
Expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and pre-processing platforms (such as Sass or LESS).
Proven experience with popular frameworks; Next.js or comparable is a plus.
Proven experience with RESTful APIs and connecting frontend applications to backend services.
Practical knowledge of contemporary cloud services, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring methodologies.
A technology and language stack-agnostic mindset with the versatility to quickly adapt and learn.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Passion for deep involvement in product development.
Strong empathy for our customers with a user-centric mindset and a fervent passion for elevating user experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a diverse team and stakeholders.
Experience or strong desire to work in early-stage startup environments.
Prior fintech industry experience.
