Job Overview
As a Security Engineer at Contextual AI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our AI systems and platforms. You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to design, implement, and maintain robust security measures that safeguard our systems, data, and infrastructure against potential threats and vulnerabilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of cybersecurity in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence.
What you’ll do:
- Design and implement security architecture for our AI systems, including network security, encryption, access controls, and identity management.
- Develop and deploy tools and techniques for detecting and mitigating security threats, such as intrusion detection systems, malware protection, and vulnerability scanning.
- Lead incident response efforts in the event of security breaches or incidents, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and best practices, such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers’s vendor security processes, answering security questionnaires and ensuring compliance with security requirements.
- Educate and train engineering and product teams on security best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular security testing, including penetration testing, code reviews, and security assessments, to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
- Establish and maintain security operations processes and procedures, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle and DevOps processes.
What we’re seeking:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 2+ years experience as a security engineer or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
- Experience with cloud security, particularly GCP.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C/C++.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, and OWASP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Location: Mountain View, CASalary Range for California Based Applicants: $140,000 - $200,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans
