Role and expectations
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will help drive product direction and build out features end-to-end for Flipturn’s fleet operations platform. You will participate in conversations with customers, and have heavy input into the features we build and how they are implemented. Some example projects you may work on in your first three months at Flipturn include:
Using real-time operational data and utility data to optimally control when chargers deliver power and the magnitude of that power, such that energy costs are minimized.
Building out workflows for users to understand, triage, and resolve charger issues, to improve uptime of their chargers.
Developing a payments solution for guests to easily pay for charging at semi-private depots.
Importing vehicle schedule data from external systems and integrating it to improve power management and operational visibility.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is excited about joining a small but quickly moving climate tech startup in the EV charging space.You’ll be a great fit for this role if you enjoy:

A strong candidate will have the following experience/skills:
Strong technical background in full-stack product development in an industry setting.
Experience leading significant projects from inception to post-launch, with active users external to the company.
Ability to put yourself in the shoes of users to drive development of a product.
Experience leading and mentoring other engineers.
Experience working at an early or mid-stage startup is a plus.
