Role Overview


Somethings is seeking a full stack engineer to join our team to lead our engineer team and ship high impact features in service of our mission. You will help create the technology powering an entirely new category in the behavioral health space. As a founding engineer, you will influence the evolution of our product from idea to tangible, high performance mobile application.

Responsibilities



  • Own the full stack development of features on both our web and mobile applications.

  • Work cross functionally with design, growth, and clinical to deliver a delightful and performant product.

  • Interface with a small team of highly motivated people working to build a massive company.

  • Run user interviews alongside designers and solve user needs in our product.

  • Fix bugs and maintain total ownership over our codebase.

Who you are



  • Must be an expert in Typescript, React/Next.js, React Native, and Postgres.

  • 5+ Years Professional SWE Experience across the entire stack.

  • Someone who loves building pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.

  • You can maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.

  • Experience writing tests, writing documentation, debugging stack traces.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Optimistic, self-motivated, upbeat, adaptable, and results-oriented with a positive attitude

  • Ability to deliver excellent work on tight schedules.

  • Ability to break-down large feature requests and architect practical solutions.

Work Environment



  • This is a full-time position.

  • Hybrid in-person at our NYC office in Manhattan (4 Days in office 1 day WFH).

  • We have an output driven culture and provide lots of flexibility throughout the week as needed.
