About the role
Nirvana is seeking a customer-oriented Integration Engineer to join our team and play a key role in supporting our integrations into our customers’ practice management platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scaling our existing integrations across customers, helping our customers with onboarding and ongoing support with bug fixes and new features, and implementing new integrations. As an Integration Engineer, you will collaborate with both internal teams and external vendors, ensuring efficient and repeatable integration processes.
Strong communication is a must in this role. Location: NYC or Austin, TX (In office 3 days per week)
What you’ll do
Scale and optimize existing integrations to accommodate a growing customer base.
Support the onboarding process for new customers, providing technical guidance and working with the sales and customer support teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integrations in a timely and efficient manner.
Design and implement integrations into new systems, developing a standardized approach for new integrations that balance repeatability/scalability with customer-specific needs.
Ability to translate customer feedback and requirements into clear technical specifications.
Collaborate with external vendors and EHR providers to address integration challenges and ensure successful implementations.
Communicate effectively with internal teams to relay customer feedback and technical requirements.
Contribute to the overall development of backend systems, including implementing new features and optimizing existing code.
Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of backend solutions.
What we're seeking
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Python developer
Experience with scaling and optimizing integrations for a growing customer base.
Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
Preferred qualifications:
Strong understanding of healthcare data standards, including HL7 and FHIR.
Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards and regulations.

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
