Job Overview
As an IT Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our RAG 2.0-based product and our HPC cluster. You will collaborate closely with our product and research engineering teams to design and implement processes and systems that ensure the stability and availability of our service.
What you’ll do:
- Troubleshoot all IT-related topics and in-depth research to find the best technical solutions.
- Administer a wide variety of SaaS apps; provision/modify/remove access as needed.
- Order/procure equipment, maintain vendor relationships, and inventory management for all IT hardware and software.
- Partner with all business units and collaborate on projects.
- SaaS account management with an eye on security and cost evaluations.
- Communicate effectively and concisely to the entire company.
- Support a global workforce, partnering with overseas IT teams, both employees and consultants.
- Analyze existing processes, suggest and make improvements, and implement business processes where none exists.
What we’re seeking:
- Familiarity with macOS and Linux devices.
- Ability to administer G-Suite for day-to-day operations
- Experience working with SSO (Okta, OneLogin, etc.).
- Capable of managing AV hardware and software, including Google Meet and other video conferencing software.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (switching, firewalls, subnetting, wireless technologies, VPNs, LAN/WAN, etc.).
- Ability to lift 30 lbs over short to medium distances, carry light loads up and down stairs, crouching or crawling as the situation demands.
- Familiarity with any/all of our current technology stack: Okta, Slack, Google Meet,,Jamf, among others.
- Good grasp on how APIs are designed and implemented.
- Exposure to networking hardware.
- Fearless when it comes to troubleshooting or determining root cause.
- A love of documentation and process improvement.
- Demonstrate that you continue to keep your knowledge and skills up to date
- Prior IT/helpdesk/customer service experience, particularly in an early-stage startup.
Location: Mountain View, CASalary Range for California Based Applicants: $100,000 - $250,000 + equity + benefits (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans
