We are pleased to announce the opening for a Data Scientist in Colorado Springs, CO who will join our innovative team and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team known for its excellence in developing, inspecting, mining, transforming, and modeling data to enhance productivity and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data models to improve business decision-making and gain competitive advantage.
- Inspect, mine, transform, and analyze large datasets to identify patterns and trends.
- Conduct statistical analysis to ensure accurate predictive forecasting and classification.
- Manage all aspects of the data lifecycle, including data collection, cleaning, transformation, and storage.
- Maintain and optimize analytical systems to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Verify the accuracy and integrity of data and analytics processes.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and analytical systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and analytical techniques.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on data-related projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years of full-time professional experience in data science, data analytics, or a related field.
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques.
- Strong experience with data processing tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Hadoop.
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes.
- Strong background in business analytics and the ability to translate data insights into business strategies.
- Experience in industries such as missile defense, cybersecurity, biotechnology, or space control marketspaces.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
