A typical day in the life of a Director of Training and Learning Development will include the following:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Partner with program leadership to design and execute training programs for new program implementations
- Lead and manage the training team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires, focusing on call center operations, customer service excellence, and healthcare industry knowledge.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to identify training needs and develop targeted training solutions to address gaps.
- Evaluate and select training vendors and software solutions that align with organizational goals and budgetary constraints.
- Design and deliver leadership development programs for supervisors and managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Utilize adult learning principles to create engaging and interactive training materials, including e-learning modules, presentations, and job aids.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in training and development, incorporating new methodologies and technologies as appropriate.
- Monitor and assess training program effectiveness through metrics and feedback mechanisms, making adjustments as needed to ensure desired outcomes.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to the training team, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Work directly with multiple departments including IT, Quality, Operations, HR, etc. to determine additional company training needs.
- Maintain and oversee training compliance including new hire, annual and third-party vendor training and changing industry or internal training requirements.
- Oversee training documentation process to ensure complete and updated records are on file for all programs, teams, and roles within the company.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on motivational interviewing techniques, providing training and support to frontline staff as needed.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Training & Development, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in training and development, with a focus on call center operations and high-quality customer service.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage a team and drive results.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Experience with training vendors, learning management systems, and e-learning authoring tools.
- Ability to create creative training techniques for learners of all types.
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Work Schedule & Environment:
- This is a full-time exempt position.
- This position is an on-site position at our Headquarters location in Jeffersonville, IN. Some local travel to our other local office locations may be necessary. PharmaCord provides reimbursements for bridge tolls if applicable.
- The standard schedule for this role is 8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday. Some evenings and weekends may be required to support and attend events or other PharmaCord activities outside of these hours.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The ability to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy is required.
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. Light to moderate lifting may be required.
- Ability to travel as needed
