Job Description
We are seeking Software IV&V Engineers all levels with 2-15 year’s experience to join the development team in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) (GMD) system integration, test, and readiness (SITR) Program. Position is located in Huntsville, AL

Responsibilities:
As the Software - IV&V team member your duties will be involved with the following:
- Leads/Supports a Software IV&V Team establishing the Plans, Processes, and templates for software assessment activities.
- Oversee/supports activities to perform DevSecOps in a closed network environment.
- Lead/supports Software and Firmware Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) activities.
- Oversee/supports activities to develop, document and maintain complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
- Oversee/supports development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.
- Develop/supports software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
- Provide technical leadership/support for software projects and leads software supplier management activities.
- Lead/supports development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools, and metrics.
- Mid-Senior Only: Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.
- Track and evaluate and support the software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
- Provide technical leadership/support for Software Assurance to ensure development of software that is free from vulnerabilities.
- Train and mentor others.
- Work under consultative direction.
Experience in the following areas:
- Programming languages such as C/C++, ADA, Python, Java, Perl, Go, ...
- Embedded software development, systems engineering, or integration and test experience with mission systems on tactical platforms, flight software, or other complex systems.
- Agile product development in CI/CD techniques, testing, and delivery.
- Automating system testing, integration, and deployment
- Software factory maintenance and upgrades.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related scientific field
- DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level II Certificate or higher
DoD Active Secret clearance prior to start
Desired Experience:
- Knowledge of software testing methods and approaches.
- Working knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.
- Knowledge of working with and supporting systems with Azure Cloud, Linux Operating System (OS) Kuberneties, Helm, and YAML.
- Good communication skills and a self-starter that can thrive and solve problems in a new development environment.
- Have the ability to work within a tool-chain using tools such as GitLab, Gradle, Maven, JFrog Artifactory, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana), SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity, BlackDuck, CodeDx, Klocwork, and more
