SMX is looking for an experienced full stack developer with experience in C# and JavaScript programming languages to support a client organization which provides system production support services. The successful candidate would join a team in providing outstanding critical application services to a community in need. The successful candidate will support the existing business operations technical systems as well as enrich current capabilities. This is a remote position supporting a Boston, MA based team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop system and sub-system level requirements and specifications.
- Define and/or revise system architecture, as required.
- Ability to create POC’s in support of new client requests to demonstrate modern application use cases.
- Write code in Microsoft .NET C#/JavaScript languages to build modern n-tiered micro-service applications.
- Conduct technical design reviews and secure consensus from partners and subject matter experts.
- Resolve system and subsystem issues and work with various partners to find and implement solutions.
Required Skills/Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in software engineering or additional years of experience in lieu of degree
- A solid understanding and demonstrated track record in the practice of software engineering and fundamentals, including architecture and testing.
- 2+ years of Microsoft .NET C# Experience
- 2+ years of JavaScript programming language experience (ie Angular, React, Vue).
- Microsoft Visual Studio/VS Code development environment.
- Source code control systems such as git.
- Alignment to software design and coding standards.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, interdisciplinary engineering groups, customers, and suppliers. Ability to give effective technical presentations up to the PLC level.
- Dedicated individual with keen technical ability, systematic approach, and excellent problem-solving skills. Candidate should have a positive attitude, be detail-oriented, and be a strong teammate.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
