501350 Journeyman Propulsion Engineer

Responsibilities
IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Propulsion Engineer to support our Redstone Arsenal, AL customer in Advanced Turbine Engine Program Office.
- Perform technical, liaison and program management services for the T700/T55 Product Office
- Perform technical analyses, program management services and fiscal management for Engineering Services Programs
- Prepare Statement of Work (SOW), Requests for Information (RFI) papers, and support Contract Requirements Packages (CRP) development for future engine component improvement projects.
- Review and advise ATE PO on Changes in Design, Engineering Change Proposals and maintenance procedures as they relate to the powerplant system of the Blackhawk and Apache helicopters.
- Review and advise ATE PO on technical manual changes, Safety of Flight Messages, Aviation Safety Action Messages, Maintenance Action Messages, and Maintenance Information Messages.
- Interface with the Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD) to develop program airworthiness requirements, verification criteria, and evidentiary documentation. Review contractor submitted documentation for technical accuracy and coordinate the SRD review cycle. Synthesize SRD comments and prepare document contractual approval/disapproval recommendation to the contracting officer representative.
- Perform technical evaluation of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) submissions, coordinate with SRD, Quality Engineering and Logistics, and communicate and resolve issues with the prime contractor.
- Provide technical expertise in support of new engine production non‐conformance, field actions/engine inspections, part rework recommendations, and troubleshooting of engine issues
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Required Skills/Experience
:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Army Aviation technologies, including propulsion, structure, dynamics, controls, mission equipment, electrical, weapons, and sustainment technologies.
- Experience working in or closely with an Army Aviation Project or Program office.
- Experience in Program Management, contract actions, SOW/CDRLs and Integrated Master Schedule
- Travel: <25%
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
