As an AVIO Architect, you will lead a team to deliver MuleSoft based solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for working with our clients to define a technical approach that ensures the desired business outcomes are realized based upon an understanding of the client’s strategic objectives. In addition, you will assess a project’s technical feasibility and implementation risks. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a project’s technical architecture by defining the overall solution architecture, the various interfaces, and the principles that guide software design and implementation. An AVIO Architect requires knowledge and experience with Jakarta EE (formerly Java EE/J2EE), the MuleSoft product suite, as well as experience in detailed requirements analysis, software design, development, testing, and deployment.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the AVIO implementation mentoring both AVIO and client teams through an Agile based delivery
- Management and mitigation of technical risks during project delivery
- Ensure engagement objectives can be supported by the underlying technology components and architecture
- Validate requirements and drive integration discussions
- Create roadmap for design of end to end integration deliverables based on MuleSoft Anypoint platform
- Create project documentation to ensure project team aligned on client requirements, standards, and best practices
- Assist project team in the development of technical proofs
- Establish integration design patterns to be leveraged by project team members
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to client and AVIO team members
- Provide guidance and expertise in assisting client with developing CI/CD capabilities
- Identify additional opportunities to expand the use of MuleSoft within each client by articulating the strategic value proposition of an API led philosophy
- Ensure effective communication with colleagues and team led to ensure timely delivery of development tasks
Qualifications
- 6+ years experience leading technical integrations teams
- Working knowledge of on-premise/cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, and deployments/configurations
- Experienced in the definition and design of best practices and standards
- Demonstrated expertise in architecting, implementing, and supporting technical solutions to meet complex business requirements
- Ability to articulate integration methodologies and assist in demonstrating business case justification to client executives
- Experience with SOA principles using multiple integration technologies (MuleSoft, Tibco, webMethods, Oracle FMW, etc.)
- Experience in core Java, Messaging, Web APIs (SOAP/REST), and authentication methods such as OAuth and SAML
- Experience utilizing continuous integration and continuous deployment processes
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills with an ability to interact with multiple levels of stakeholders, support personnel, and client resources
- MuleSoft Certified Developer or Architect specialization preferred
- B.S. in Computer Science or similar
