Milhouse is looking to a add a Engineering Project Manager to our talented & robust Transportation Team!
This position offers the opportunity of growth and further development in Transportation engineering design and provides you with a means of experiencing the many components that go in to developing plans from Phase I to Phase II designs. What you will do:
- Phase I and Phase II analysis
- Designing improvements regarding geometric and roadside appurtenances, drainage design and layout, maintenance of traffic (MOT) design and layout, signing & pavement marking, utility coordination & relocation, quantities, calculations, specifications, and exhibits
- Management of projects, staff, & clients
- Attending client meetings, manage project(s) schedules, work with Project Managers to deliver project deliverables, manage project QA/QC procedures on various projects
- Prepare project documents plans and reports utilizing CADD
- Data entry into various platforms
- Organize and maintain project files
- Perform calculations and analysis
- Prepare design calculations using appropriate tools and/or software
- Prepare cost estimates and analyze material costs
- Training of designers/engineers on tasks
What we are looking for:
- High level knowledge of MicroStation
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experienced with 3D Modeling
- Roadway design experience
- Drainage design experience
- Proven design experience with IDOT, Illinois tollway, Open roads and Traffic signals
Your background:
- 6-8 years of experience as a Civil Engineer dedicated to transportation
- PE required.
- Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited University
- Experience with IDOT, CCDOTH, CDOT, Illinois Tollway is preferred.

$110,000 - $124,000 a yearThe starting base pay for this role is between $110,000 and $124,000. The actual base pay depends upon many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. While we provide a range, we'd love to hear from you if you are in or outside of this range as we are always looking to cater roles to the Talent we find!
