Raptive is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to help continue to build out our Ad Code product and team. You will lead a team of software engineers and expand that team in a sustainable manner. You will mentor and coach individuals, helping them develop personally and professionally.You are someone who can lead a team to develop high-performance JavaScript libraries while navigating browser complexities. You are able to interpret business requirements and delivery solutions that help our publishers effectively monetize their traffic.
You are a player-coach, helping your team grow but also actively participating in the software delivery process.What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage the engineering team responsible for optimizing our Prebid.js implementation, driving revenue wins through optimization and experimentation.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, coordinating with product and engineering teams to plan features, draft requirements, and make delivery estimates.
- Manage an engineering team with responsibilities including hiring, coaching, and career development.
- Develop and maintain a positive culture fostering collaboration and psychological safety.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of our codebase to provide informed technical guidance to the team.
- Perform consistent code reviews to ensure adherence to high-quality coding standards and best practices.
- Act as a proactive problem solver, unblocking team members and providing the support they need to progress in their tasks efficiently.
The skills and experience you bring to the job:
- Broad and deep experience with designing and implementing JavaScript-based libraries and frameworks (i.e. not only web interfaces).
- In-depth knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device nuances and functionality.
- Ability to review and contribute code back to the open source community.
- Coherent understanding of agile software development practices and methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement to delivery capabilities including speed, quality, and reliability.
- Experience collaborating and partnering with product managers to help with feature planning, estimation, and delivery risk mitigation.
- Track record of being able to reinforce engineering and organizational identity within their team.

The range provided is Raptive’s reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities.
