We are looking for qualified individuals to join our rapidly growing team.This role can be part-time or full-time and has flexible hours.Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented A/R specialist to join our collections department. The A/R specialist is responsible for oversight of patient financial accounts across multiple offices.
The successful candidate will exhibit exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused approach to maintaining positive client relationships.The Collections Specialist is responsible for:
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Monitor patient accounts for payment discrepancies and investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure that payments are allocated correctly.
- Maintain organized patient files and records.
Collections:
- Contact patients with overdue accounts to collect outstanding payments.
- Follow up on past-due invoices through phone calls, emails, and written communication.
- Record and document all collection activities in a systematic and organized manner.
Patient Relations:
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with patients while managing collections.
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries regarding invoices, billing, and payment status.
- Collaborate with the insurance and front desk teams to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
RequirementsQualifications· At least one year of dental or medical billing experience preferred.· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.· Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs· Results driven· Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.· Detail-oriented and organized with a strong focus on accuracy.· Superior customer service skills required.· Strong organizational skills.· Computer proficiency including e-mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, andgenerating reports using standard software applications.· Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with patients, vendors and co-workers in a professional and helpful manner in person or via phone or written correspondence.· Maintains a positive attitude and professionalism under all circumstances.· Maintains strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.Pay will scale with experience, incentives based on performanceAbout our company:
