We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our 100% Azure cloud infrastructure, which heavily uses AKS (4+ years), Windows, and Linux virtual machines. The engineer will also be responsible for all deployment activities using Octopus and supporting .NET applications.The role involves using tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog, and Cloudflare, ensuring the operations, security, and management of our environment.
This is a key role within our organization and requires a dedicated professional with a strong understanding of DevOps principles and technologies
As our Global Payroll and Benefits Administrator, you will be required to:
- At least 7+ years of DevOps experience with a focus on system builds and deployments, preferably in an Azure environment using infrastructure as a code platform (Git, Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) and .Net/Agular builds and deployments using various tools including Azure DevOps.
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field or relevant work experience in an IT Managed Services environment
- Desired Certifications: ITIL, Kubernetes, Azure Infrastructure, DevOps/Architect (AZ-104,305,400,700).
- Manage operational aspects of the CI/CD pipeline including infrastructure, networking, AKS, deployments, and permission management.
- Design and deliver DevOps projects that ensure infrastructure is 24x7 operational and cost-effective.
- Participate in architecture, requirements, and planning sessions with project owners and stakeholders.
- Work closely with Development, Data, Project Management, and Infosec teams to ensure management, operability, and security of our applications hosted in Azure.
- Participate in planning sessions and daily stand-ups with DevOps staff and management located in the United States headquarters.
- Proactive planning and organization to adjust to the flexible needs of our business.
- Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are tested and updated on an annual basis.
- Address support requests in relation to the environments and our applications and Azure services.
To apply for this role, you should possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, ideally in an Azure environment, including operations and management, deployments (rolling and blue/green), monitoring (internal tools, MS, and Datadog), and security (PAM, certificates, network).
- Experience with Azure platform services, specifically: Azure SQL, Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage.
- Experience with source control branching using GIT.
- Expertise with AKS.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, etc.).
- Experience with Windows Server/Linux Administration within Azure Active Directory.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring tool sets such as Splunk, ELK, Data Dog.
- Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to present complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, self-directed and customer service-focused with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking including vnets, subnets, peering’s, load balancers, gateways, routing.
