About The Role:
As a Senior Sales Planning Analyst within the PRGM (Profit Revenue Growth Management) organization at Feastables, you will be instrumental in driving our revenue growth and optimizing profitability through targeted data analysis and strategic planning, specifically for our Small Store sector (Convenience, Drug, and Value customers). This position offers a unique opportunity to directly influence our revenue strategies and market positioning by developing customized pricing and promotional tactics tailored to the specific needs and behaviors of distinct customer segments.
Additionally, you will play a critical role in forecasting and building the annual operating plan, ensuring that our strategic initiatives are well-informed and aligned with our long-term business objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Support Sales Strategy Development & Execution: Engage in all activities related to creating and implementing sales strategies, with a focus on forecast accuracy. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to maximize profit and revenue for Small Store customers, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
- Channel and Customer Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of channels and customers, examining consumer trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics. Identify opportunities and challenges in customer plans, offering strategic insights to enhance market positioning
- Granular Customer Behavior Analysis: Deliver detailed analysis on customer behavior, preferences, and responses to pricing and promotional changes. Utilize this information to support effective negotiations and optimize pricing strategies
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Commercialization team and the PRGM Centralized Pricing Analytics & Insights team to ensure alignment of strategies. Collaborate to optimize outcomes, leveraging diverse expertise and perspectives
- Data Management and Interpretation: Manage and interpret large datasets to generate actionable insights. Use these insights to inform strategic decisions and support long-term planning, enhancing overall business performance
- Pricing and Promotional Strategy Assessment: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of pricing and promotional strategies. Make necessary adjustments based on customer feedback and market dynamics to ensure strategies remain relevant and effective
- Monthly Business Reviews and Reporting: Support monthly business reviews by maintaining sales reporting and scorecards. Enhance forecast accuracy and measure the performance of implemented strategies against expectations, ensuring continuous improvement
- Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends and consumer behavior. Continuously refine approaches and methodologies to stay competitive and responsive to market changes
Recipe For Success:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in pricing analytics, revenue management, or a related field, preferably within the CPG industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred
- Proven ability to work with large datasets and perform complex analysis to extract actionable insights
- Strong analytical skills: Data analysis and interpretation, forecasting, ROI analysis and ability to analyze consumer trends, competitor activities and market dynamics
- Proficiency in using data management and analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) for advanced data analysis and forecasting
- Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to engage effectively with both internal stakeholders and external customers
- Deep understanding of trade spend management and price positioning strategies to tailor promotional efforts
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and addressing challenges
- A collaborative team player with a consumer-centric mindset and a strong commitment to continuous learning and adaptation
