Description
The Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the marketing strategy and initiatives for our life science marketing communications agency. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong marketing communications skills and an understanding of the life sciences industry to effectively promote our agency's services, increase brand awareness, and generate leads. The Marketing Manager will work closely with our integrated departments to develop and deploy our campaigns to accomplish our goals.
Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Strategic Marketing
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives
- Implement marketing plans to increase brand visibility, drive engagement, and generate leads
- Develop strategies to differentiate the agency in the competitive life sciences marketing landscape
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to adapt marketing strategies accordingly
- Analyze performance metrics and optimize marketing efforts to maximize ROI
- Report on the agency’s marketing analytics and recommendations to leadership team
Agency Brand Management & Internal Communications Support
- Lead the roll-out of the brand campaign(s)
- Create and evolve brand materials (website, collateral, video, presentations, etc.)
- Support integration of new agency brands/marketing programs
- Monitor brand perception and reputation, and implement strategies to enhance brand positioning
- Collaborate with the creative department as a “brand steward” for the agency to help enforce CG Life’s verbal and visual guidelines
- Manage internal communications (e.g. agency news and announcements on significant events, internal weekly newsletter, upcoming industry events, etc.)
- Support departments with the creation of brand-aligned graphics, templates and other assets
- Develop and maintain relationships with agency teams and external partners
Marketing Communications Activation
- Create compelling content for various marketing channels including website, social media, email campaigns, blogs, and case studies
- Manage content calendar and ensure timely delivery of content aligned with marketing objectives
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop thought leadership content that showcases our expertise in the life sciences industry
- Assist in the development of campaigns and tracking for lead generation with the new business team
- Direct maintenance of the agency website(s) and social media channels
- Drive the digital marketing initiatives including use of HubSpot for campaign deployment and automation
- Oversight of paid media campaigns including PPC, Paid Social, and retargeting
- Coordination with the public relations department to manage announcements, media placements, and speaking opportunities
- Support selection of and submissions for agency awards
- Planning and logistics for agency events (conference attendance and private events)
- Support client outreach initiatives, including announcements, client appreciation events and other appreciation activities
- Manage the agency’s marketing budget and timelines for project deliverables
Business Development Support
- Develop marketing materials and presentations to support client pitches, proposals, and presentations
- Manage the library of branded materials for new business and client service teams
Team Building
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including strategy, creative, digital, content, public relations, project management, and client services to execute integrated marketing campaigns
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence
- Identify opportunities to build out our marketing department or better integrate with other internal departments as our goals and needs evolve
- Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, proactive attitude, and commitment to achieving results as is aligned with our agency values
Reports To:
Vice President, Business Development
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant marketing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Proven experience in the life sciences industry, preferably within a marketing communications agency or related organization
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable marketing plans
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and techniques, including SEO, PPC, and email marketing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and deliver impactful presentations
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights
- Experience in developing and implementing marketing communications campaigns
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and pivot as required
- Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.This job posting is intended for direct applicants only; please, no outside recruiters.
