Some of the parts we’ve produced are even floating in space!The Protolabs Network Director of Marketing will be responsible for driving demand and building awareness of Protolabs Network services.
This person will lead a team of 5 Amsterdam based employees and be responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of the global Protolabs Network marketing strategy to drive new customers into our platform. The Protolabs Network is rapidly expanding and growing at double digit growth rates annually. This marketing leader will be charged with continuing to lead this rapid growth and further expand our customer footprint primarily through online acquisition strategies and a mix of traditional offline marketing activities. This is an exciting opportunity to work for the world’s fastest growing customer parts service in the world.Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), this position will manage the day-to-day functions of the Network Marketing team, while also coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational success. These stakeholders will include regional GMs and key functional leaders in sales, finance, IT, and the executive management team.Sounds good? Keep reading!
What you'll do:
- Drive top-of-the-funnel new customer demand by generating leads and nurturing them to uploaders on our ecommerce site.
- Provide strategic direction for Network Marketing activities that support the overall Protolabs global strategy.
- Sets vision and plan for Protolabs Network go to market operations.
- Provide leadership for Protolabs Network PPC and SEA activities for the Network website.
- Partner with team members to guide editorial and creative direction for Network specific campaigns consistent with company brand to drive website content and SEO.
- Work closely with global marketing team to create consistent, clear messaging platform.
- Provides thought leadership to the Protolabs Network marketing organization.
- Partner with Sales to ensure all communications are consistent with priorities and sales selling cycle and methodology.
- Lead the development of media planning, communications and creative development of all Network marketing programs and customer communications including trade shows, public website, social media, newsletters, sales collateral, and email communications.
- Provide leadership for the marketing automation function, leading the creation of DRIP campaigns specific to the Network, and ensuring proper A/B testing and optimization of the campaigns is occurring on regular basis.
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the Network marketing initiatives and provide proper reporting to the CMO to ensure consistent and regular communication.
- Provide leadership for the integrity of customer data obtained through outside lists or internal customer databases.
- Manage the Network marketing budget in line with revenue targets.
- Collaborate with global marketing team to benchmark performance in different regions and share and adopt best practices worldwide to continuously improve resource efficiency and effectiveness.
- Design and implement key metrics to define optimal performance measurements and performance management programs required to ensure sales and marketing organization success.
- Aligns reporting, training, and incentive programs with performance management priorities.
- Translate day-to-day business practices into actionable information for company leadership.
- Leads go to Network market operations experimentation, learning and continuous process improvement across Protolabs.
- Administer and provide direction for multiple complex projects through positive collaboration such as demand generation, new product introduction launches, product promotion campaigns, corporate system enhancements, business development opportunities, funnel management, audits and corporate process changes.
- Collaborate with Product Managers in segmenting relevant markets, targeting identified marketing in terms of marketing mix.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What it takes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
- 10+ years of marketing experience, with 5+ years at the management level preferably at a Director level role
- 5+ years experience in an ecommerce and website driven marketing
- Corporate marketing experience preferably B2B and/or technical manufacturing environment
- Experience successfully managing analytically rigorous corporate initiatives
- Deep expertise in marketing automation and technology
- Experience with marketing automation, CRM and analytics tools (SFDC, Hubspot, Pardot, Neolane, Marketo, Eloqua, Google Analytics, Google AdWords or similar)
Other qualifications:- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to simplify complex analytics into actionable insights for multiple internal audiences
- Able to resolve fast-paced issues/challenges
- Must be self-directed and be able to work well under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- High ethical standards and have evidence of working collaboratively in a cross functional business
- Able to collaborate; effectively working across multiple levels, roles, and functions in the organization
- Strong analytical thinking and numerical ability, problem solving skills and communications skills (both written and oral) with attention to detail
- Highly strategic and forward-thinking
- Proven ability to successfully handle multiple projects
- Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to relationship-building, both internally and externally
- Ability to travel approximately 10%
Nice to haves:- Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
- Leadership team experience reporting or supporting a GM or President
- Fluency in multiple languages
