The Opportunity


We are looking for a seasoned individual who has covered regional and community banks in their previous roles to join Derivative Path. The ideal candidate should have strong relationships at the C level in these banks, deep knowledge of the banking industry, a passion for creating new business, and is eager to join a high growth PE backed advisory and technology company. The role is for Advisory Sales, which is a business development role that requires signing up new clients interested in using our technology platform and our services to hedge interest rates, FX, and commodities.

We will train the right candidate in the covered asset classes; however, an existing Rolodex in the regional and community bank industry or a proven ability to sign up new banks in capital markets is essential for this position. We welcome candidates from industry verticals such as correspondent banking and downstream bank-focused fixed-income sales. Prior experience selling OTC products such as interest rate, FX, and commodity derivatives to downstream banks is a definite plus.  The role offers an opportunity to become a part of an exciting FinTech to the right candidate.

Qualifications


  • 7+ years of experience in a sales role focused on financial institutions consistently exceeding quota
  • Strong rolodex in regional and community bank industry calling on decision makers (CEO, CFO, Head of Treasury, Chief Lending Officer)
  • Detailed understanding of Asset Liability Management (ALM) at community and regional banks
  • Proven hunter with the ability to plan, execute, and maximize their territory
  • Expert understanding of the sales process and knowing when to leverage others within the firm
  • Strong team player and collaborator
  • Correspondent Banking, Fixed Income Sales, and Derivatives knowledge is a major plus
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Preference for experience using the MEDICC sales methodology
  • Strong Linked-In presence

Salary


The expected salary for this position ranges from $130,000 - $170,000 and commission eligible. On the technology front, our team possesses industry leading expertise. Our technology team is headed by a former Head of Technology at Wells Fargo Securities. In addition, the team comprises senior leaders with backgrounds in rates and commodities trading and risk, as well as application development. We have developed a state of the art derivative trading platform, DerivativeEDGE, which we make available to all of our clients. This platform helps us automate key aspects of our clientsᅢᄁ¬ツᆲ¬トᄁ trading operations and the tasks necessary from a trade servicing standpoint as well. The platform provides a regional/community bank the confidence to operate a hedging program vis-ᅢテᅡᅠ-vis the requirements of its regulators/auditors.
