What You’ll Do
Next-generation risk assessment – deinvesting away from binary underwriting and revisioning risk selection utilizing data, AI and curiosity. Modernized underwriting using cutting edge technology to more accurately and quickly assess risk, price and bespoke coverage/terms to profitably grow and manage a book of business. - Playing a pivotal role in establishing and shaping our presence in the E&S lines market.
- Quote and release new E&S business that has been either referred from underwriting algorithm or seeking changes that exceed user authority thresholds
- Analyze and approve requested policy changes, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain familiarity and compliance with E&S state insurance regulations and ISO rules for all states within assigned underwriting territory
- Maintain open, transparent and supportive communications with team members and interdivisional partners
- Monitor E&S portfolio composition via reports, audits and inspections
- Support marketing functions and efforts to build and promote Honeycomb
- Complete special projects and assignments
- Some travel as deemed necessary <10%
Basic Requirements
- 5+ years of E&S underwriting/insurance experience - habitational experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of E&S insurance products, coverages, and underwriting principles.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience preferred
- Retail agency relationship preferred
- Curiosity, hardworking, self-accountable, positive attitude, humble and fun
