Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the product, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, and R&D business, on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues as we expand our business, diversify our production infrastructure, and introduce new products globally.
- Lead contract negotiation and management of Supply Chain & Manufacturing, including, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a range of commercial agreements with our manufacturers, distributors, and brokers.
- Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with co-manufacturing partners, negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Develop and provide trainings to internal stakeholders on a variety of legal issues.
- Build trust and drive strong relationships with internal stakeholders and counsel internal stakeholders on risk and risk mitigation strategies.
- Build policies and workflows to support efficient and robust manufacturing & supply programs.
- Provide up-to-date guidance on all relevant laws and regulations and monitor them as they evolve.
- Provide ideas and insights into how Impossible Foods can work within the law to create amazing product experiences for its customers and consumers.
- Assist with general transactions and other commercial legal matters as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school, admission to practice law in a U.S. state.
- 7 year or more years of combined relevant experience in law firms, governmental agencies, and/or in-house legal departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with manufacturing, supply chain, and co-manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- International experience.
- Excellent commercial negotiation and drafting skills.
- Highly organized and energetic, able to navigate a fast-paced environment and be highly responsive to deadline-oriented clients.
- Sound and practical business judgment.
$160,000 - $234,300 a yearThis U.S. based, full-time position offers the above base salary range + equity + benefits + bonus for sales incentive plan roles. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
