The Sales Planning Manager – Retail Sales is instrumental to the growth and scale of Impossible Foods’ business in alignment with our corporate strategy. This position has both managerial and individual contributor components so requires someone with a broad range of skills. The role manages a team of Account Specialists who support our Account Managers with new item setup, promotion and contract management, sales support, and collaborate with internal finance, marketing, and brand teams. As an individual contributor, the role involves supporting the retail sales team with a blend of insights & analytics, customer & scenario planning, working cross functionally with demand strategy/sales enablement teams, special projects and flex coverage for Account Specialists.
This position can work remotely and will report to the Director of Retail Sales.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage a team of Account Specialists supporting the retail sales team.
- Ensure Account Specialists are developing skills that further provide value to the retail sales team as needed.
- Provide flex coverage for the Account Specialists when they are OOO or over capacity on submitting new item forms, promotion management, price changes, customer communications and more.
- Lead or assist in insights/analytics work, customer meeting prep, scenario planning, new item tracking and more.
- Regularly meet with Account Managers to stay up to date on customer needs and progress as well as discuss new ways to add value to the team.
- Work across functions to connect our sales teams with marketing, PR, and event teams as needed, primarily to coordinate and schedule efforts. Effective in communicating with all team members, key stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
- Keep the Retail Sales Director briefed on the status of important projects going on at customers and internally across functions.
- Executes special projects as determined by the team and Retail Sales Director.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of retail industry experience.
- 4+ years of experience with two or more of the nation's largest grocery retailers and their systems.
- 2+ years of experience managing a team.
- Experience pulling & analyzing retail sales data in a sales function.
- The ability to prioritize and lead several projects and activities at the same time.
- A strong attention to detail.

$97,500 - $143,000 a yearThis U.S. based, full-time position offers the above base salary range + equity + benefits + bonus for sales incentive plan roles. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
