Payments Partnerships Manager
Location: Hybrid in New York City (3 day in-office requirement)
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in successfully building and maintaining exceptional partnerships/relationships in the payments/financial services ecosystem
- Ability to professionally perform under pressure and resolve operational challenges
- A sense of urgency and prioritization of multiple different types of tasks
- Can build, understand, and communicate business and product impact in numbers and graphs. Knows how to generate actionable insights that can make a difference.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to turn problems into stories that people want to care about and articulate it all down clearly so that Melio's FIs Partners can get on the same page.
- Ability to pitch to C-level executives, both internally and externally
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or other relevant fields
- Candidates with an MBA + 3 years of relevant experience will be considered
A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:
- Support product integrations and onboarding of new banking/fintech partners, working highly cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and teams.
- Explore, scope, and evaluate new partnership opportunities in the payments ecosystem by continuously developing relationships with both established and new players in the industry.
- Negotiate terms of agreement with new money movement partners to ensure new product developments are set for success.
- Achieve outstanding expertise in different core operational activities that will lead to a high level of product performance, optimization, and innovation.
- Own a part of the day-to-day operational activity and ongoing relationship with our existing financial institutions partners (Banks, Fintechs, Startups, Payment Processors, Networks, etc.) and reflect meaningful insights to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify new opportunities that can be driven by the payment infrastructure partnerships.
About the Team:
As a Payment Partnerships Manager, you will be joining our Payments team at Melio, where our core product, the payments ecosystem knowledge, and financial services expertise are crucial keys to success. Your mission will take part in leading commercial strategy and relationships with banks, processors, payment networks, and other fintech partners that support all of Melio’s money movement product capabilities. This role puts you at the center of our core activity and has the opportunity to directly impact Melio's critical processes and success.
