About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join our team at Plooto. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our market presence within the SMB, mid-market & enterprise segments. While experience in Fintech is advantageous, a proven track record in SMB sales and leadership is essential. You will lead a team of Account Executives, leveraging your expertise in SaaS sales to support our mission of transforming financial management for SMBs.

What You’ll Do


  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive subscription sales, exceed targets, and nurture client relationships.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Account Executives, providing guidance, coaching, motivation, servant leadership principles, and support to drive individual and team success.
  • Utilize leading indicators to forecast sales performance and interpret data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies for demand creation using outbound methods and account-based marketing techniques.
  • Actively manage the sales team, demonstrating hands-on leadership by participating in sales activities such as prospecting, closing deals, and managing key accounts. Serve as a player-coach to inspire and guide the team towards achieving sales targets and growth objectives.
  • Utilize a consultative approach to understand client needs and effectively communicate the value proposition of our SaaS solution.
  • Inspire the sales team to achieve and surpass sales goals, using strategic insights and a deep understanding of sales processes to drive performance and growth.
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients by offering insights and guidance on how our product can address their specific business challenges.
  • Leverage sales funnel data to optimize lead conversion and drive sales efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize sales efforts and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Analyze market potential, track sales performance, and provide regular status reports to management.
  • Provide insights on customer needs, competitive activities, and potential new products/services to inform strategic decision-making.

Your Background


  • 5+ years of professional sales experience, with proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role managing a high-performance sales team.
  • Proven success in supporting sales for SMBs, preferably within the Fintech or Payments industry.
  • Demonstrated history of sales excellence, with a consistent record of achieving high sales performance.
  • Proven experience as a sales manager in a dynamic environment, with a track record of personally driving sales initiatives while effectively managing and coaching a team.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in selling subscription-based products and exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian and US markets, and experience managing clients in these regions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
