What we love about this role:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (risk analysts, data science, and operations) to design and implement new features.
- Help protect OfferUp's users from bad activity by building new tools to defend against scams, spam, and other fraudulent behavior.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering stakeholders to create data-driven solutions to prevent bad activity.
- Make individual contributions to the Trust and Safety codebase.
You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
- A rising junior or senior in college - no post-grads
- Majoring in Computer Science or Computer Programming
Compensation Range: $40.00-50.00/hr
Individual salaries within our ranges are determined through a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. In regard to vacation time, full-time, non-exempt employees will receive 160 hours of paid vacation per year (pro-rated if they start on a date other than January 1). Each year, full-time, non-exempt employees may carry over a balance of 40 hours of vacation time to the following year. In regard to sick time, all full-time employees (exempt and non-exempt) will be granted 12 days (96 hours) of sick time per year (pro-rated if they start a date other than January 1).
Interns will receive paid vacation and sick time using the same methodology as full-time, non-exempt employees. Interns will be granted the appropriate pro-rated amount of vacation and sick time for the length of their internship.
