We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Vendor Experience team, focused on revolutionizing how vendors interact with our payments platform, creating seamless, efficient, and delightful experiences from onboarding to transaction management and beyond.As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of full-stack engineers dedicated to high standards and modern development practices. You will play a key role in growing and nurturing the team, collaborating closely with product, design, marketing, and other stakeholders to develop innovative user-facing features.

Your responsibilities include managing team growth, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining top-notch product quality while utilizing technologies like React, Node.js, AWS, and scalable databases to enhance the B2B payments experience.

Qualifications:


  • 7+ years of professional experience as a software engineer with frontend and backend development.
  • 4+ years experience managing a team of engineers.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with React.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with NodeJS.
  • Experience in continuous delivery including automated tests.
  • A deep understanding of production systems and the architecture of web products.
  • Proactive team player with a desire to impact our engineering team, our product, and our customers.
  • An eye for UX/UI and details.
  • Independent, resourceful, and creative.

Bonus points:


  • Experience with AWS infrastructure

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:


  • Manage and mentor your team members.
  • Serve as a technical focal point and people manager.
  • Define, set clear expectations, and provide context to create a positive work environment based on accountability and ownership.
  • Work closely with engineering, product, design, customer success and marketing stakeholders to deliver the team roadmap.
  • Take an active role in hiring for your team and Melio in general.
  • Participate in ensuring the stability and reliability of our services, both during regular schedule and outside in on-call rotations. 

About the hiring department:


The Engineering department is the backbone of Melio. We design, deliver and monitor technical solutions — supporting our customers and the entire organization. We get involved from the early stage of a project, making the connection between customer needs and our product design, then translating those into solutions. 

What’s our stack?


In Melio, we are all in with AWS Serverless. This means all our services are managed by AWS and our infrastructure is deployed using SAM CLI built over CloudFormation.Serverless gives us the freedom to build, scale, and deploy applications faster than ever.
