Job duties – Build new and scale up Loop products. Design and contribute new features to Loop Platforms:
Freight Audit, Data Ingestion, Payments. Continuously increase ownership and deepen expertise in bothproduct and platform areas. Inspire and mentor young engineers and interns. Work and effectivelycommunicate in a dynamic and fast-moving environment across engineering, product, risk, growth and go-to-market to develop product and system specifications, metrics, KPIs and support procedures. Contribute toroadmap and plans, help define and meet team’s goals. Work with product and business teams to incorporatecustomer feedback to constantly improve product.
Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, andsystems that allow us to scale the code base, productivity, and the team. Proactively engage with peers andmanagers to provide and solicit feedback, recruit, interview engineering candidates and develop interviewquestions, and foster the culture of excellence, velocity and humility. Ability to work from home (WFH) a fewdays a week.Education and Experience required – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration andComputer Science, or a related technical field and 3 years of experience in software engineering.Background – 3 years of experience contributing to software systems by designing, developing, testing,maintaining, and improving software.
3 years of experience using full stack technologies, including React,NodeJS, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL, and frameworks (NestJs, Spring, and Rails). 3 years of experience buildingand maintaining production environments with AWS ECR, ECS, EC2, and ensuring system stability usingobservability tools including Datadog or Graphite. 3 years of experience working cross functionally withdesigners, product managers and business stakeholders to align on project goals and delivery projects in atimely manner, and leverage analytics tools including Snowflake and Mode to track deliverable metrics.
3years of experience scoping, planning, and executing on software projects spanning multiple months andinvolving multiple engineers. 3 years of experience using project tracking software including Jira or Linear toensure projects are scoped and delivered on time. 1 year of experience mentoring junior engineers andproviding guidance and support when necessary. 1 year of experience setting coding standards and bestpractices for team members.Location – San Francisco, CA (Ability to WFH a few days/week)Rate of pay – $150,000 to $170,000 per yearHow to apply – By email to career-intakes@loop.com with (#LPSE) in the subject line.
