Key Output
• Component machining to OEM and customer specifications• Produce accurate customer service reports• Examine and rate parts in accordance with caterpillar reusability guidelines• Prepare parts lists for machining• Ensure a safe working environment for self and team• Control Contamination and own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)• Ensure that the quality and productivity standards of one's own work are consistently and accurately met.• Adherence to all policies and procedures• Service, maintain and repair plant and equipment• Effective self-management and performance ownership
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Qualified in relevant trade (Minimum Auto Motor Machinist)• 3 to 5 years Post Trade experience• Exposure in automotive component machining is a must.• Must be able to operate head and block surface grinder, seat cutting and crank grinding, Rottler CNC machines• Knowledge in the Caterpillar Service Information System – SIS• Drivers licence – Code B• Used part inspection and evaluation skills
