About the Job:
We are currently seeking a Capital Markets Intern for a challenging experience-based internship to contribute to an innovative and groundbreaking project in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Are you passionate about technology and looking to make your mark in the industry? Come join our dynamic team as we push the boundaries and create a game changer in the world of AI. You will have the unique opportunity to participate in a fully immersive internship where you will be contributing capital markets engagement efforts.
This is designed largely as a remote placement however can also be a hybrid internship (Chicago or Toronto). In this engagement/applied learning internship you’ll gain unparalleled experience in a high-growth, dynamic environment, directly interfacing with senior management and largely different from any other internship. It will be a demanding internship and will require you to bring the best version of yourself to the table, but for those who embrace this, it will be a richly rewarding experience as well as a great compliment to your academic investment.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage with Investors: Lead and manage investor relations efforts, preparing and presenting financial updates, and fielding investor queries to foster strong relationships.
- Private Equity and Venture Capital Negotiations: Actively participate in discussions and negotiations with private equity firms and venture capitalists to secure funding and support growth initiatives.
- Strategic Funding Management: Develop and implement strategies for managing funds and grants, including identification of opportunities, application processes, and compliance monitoring.
- Market Analysis: Keep abreast of market trends and regulatory changes that could impact the company’s financial strategy and capital raising efforts.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with other finance and operational teams to ensure alignment of capital market activities with the overall financial and business strategies of the company.
About You:
- Currently pursuing or possessing an MBA or any related Master’s field degree, with a focus on capital markets, finance, accounting, or investment management.
- Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial concepts, modeling, and valuation methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present financial information.
- Strong strategic acumen, capable of developing innovative financial strategies and identifying new opportunities for capital growth.
- Exceptional communication skills, you can effectively articulate financial strategies and results to stakeholders at all levels.
