BeZero Carbon is a global ratings agency for the Voluntary Carbon Market. We distribute our ratings via our SaaS Product, BeZero Carbon Markets, informing all market participants on how to price and manage risk. Our ratings and research tools support buyers, intermediaries, investors and carbon project developers.Founded in April 2020, our 170+ strong team combines climatic and earth sciences, sell-side financial research, earth observation, machine learning, data and technology, engineering, and public policy expertise.
We work from four continents. Having raised a significant Series B funding round in late 2022, we are rapidly growing as a company, accelerating the Net-Zero transition through ratings.
Role Description
We’re looking for a People Partner to focus on People Projects at BeZero. This role is based in London and sits within the People & Operations team, which is responsible for driving an exceptional employee experience across the business.This role will focus on partnering with core teams and driving the successful delivery of our people projects and programmes at BeZero. This will cover the spectrum of people-activity at BeZero; you might work on evolving our performance management cycle, developing a learning and development program for managers, or focusing on a team-specific engagement and retention initiative.
You could also be working on specific employee relations issues when they come up.You will work closely with our existing People Partners and the VP People & Operations to ensure we balance our people partnering and momentum behind our project work as we scale the business.
Role Responsibilities
- Designing and running programmes of work with the People and Operations teams, such as performance, progression and compensation cycles.
- Drive strategic People projects (e.g. specific training initiatives or a compensation bench-marking exercise).
- Project manage our work using Asana.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand needs and requirements of their teams, design appropriate solutions, and either deliver or coach managers through delivery (where appropriate).
- Continue to develop and improve our people processes in coordination with Operations, Finance, Talent teams.
- Support with employee relations and business partnering.
Candidate requirements
- We’re looking for someone with experience working in a fast-growing, early stage company like ours.
- You have experience designing people processes and initiatives, like a performance management system, learning and development programme, or engagement initiative.
- You’ve partnered on People issues with different types of teams, covering onboarding, offboarding, performance management and employee relations issues.
- You understand that communication and effective change management is key to delivering people projects, and are confident in guiding a business and its stakeholders through implementation of new processes, systems, or ways of working.
- You’re independent and willing to take ownership.
- You can balance finding the best outcome with moving something forwards to a decision pragmatically and empathetically.
- You can scope and drive individual projects forwards with limited supervision.
- You’re highly collaborative and build relationships quickly which you can leverage to move decisions and projects forward.
