As Sr. Associate, Digital Product, this person will bring Boll & Branch and our products to life on our website. In this role, you will think creatively and strategically, while working closely with our Sr. Manager of Digital Product and cross-functional partners to develop and execute upon a long-term testing plan for our website that supports both short and long-term company goals. This person will write out requirements for feature development and maintain the product backlog, as well as optimize our product feed to improve capabilities like search and product recommendations. This person cares deeply about our customers and is passionate about finding ways to improve their experience. No project or task, whether it be building an exciting new feature or submitting a ticket for a bug, is too small, as you understand how both can drive immediate value to the customer and to the business.
You will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Digital Product.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a testing plan for the Boll & Branch website, including but not limited to testing copy, imagery, and product recommendation algorithms
- Partner with the data team to optimize our product feed, identifying new product attributes that we can incorporate to enhance search results, establish more meaningful product relationships, and ultimately provide better product recommendations
- Attend daily stand-ups with Engineering team to ensure timelines and requirements of features are met
- Lead the product development cycle by writing requirements, QAing development work, and reporting on new launch performance
- Maintain the health of our backlog by reviewing tickets to ensure they contain detailed development requirements and the priority accurately reflects the needs of the business
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with design, analytics, engineering, marketing, and digital experience teams to foster an environment of constant exploration, testing, and learning
- Be inspired by the competitive landscape, identifying new trends and innovation opportunities
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Has worked with data to answer complex questions and interpret customer behavior into user insights
- Experience outlining, executing and reporting on AB tests
- Experience with a Content Management System (ex. Shopify, Contentful, Instapage etc.)
- Understanding of tech and product development processes
- Highly organized with strong project management skills
- Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Demonstrated track record of being resourceful, curious, and innovative
- Team player with excellent communication skills that’s able to work collaboratively to meet goals and deadlines
- A positive, optimistic, can-do attitude, willing to jump in to support teammates
- Experience working with personalization or testing operating systems like Dynamic Yield or Optimizely is a plus
- Experience with Segment, Looker, or Jira is a plus
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
This position will have the opportunity to work predominantly from either our Summit, NJ HQ or NYC office (but will need to be at HQ for key team and cross-functional in-person meetings). We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have flexibility to work remotely. Currently we are operating under a hybrid model whereby all teams work in an office a minimum of two days per week (Tuesdays/Thursdays) and may be provided flexibility to work from home on other days.
There may be times when you’re asked to work in our Summit, NJ office because it’s in the best interest of our business or your team.The annual base salary range for this role is $56,000 to $85,000 (new hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum to midpoint of the salary range posted depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role). It is important to note that our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size, industry, and the market and are one part of the total rewards that we provide. Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, scope of the role, and internal peer benchmarking.
